Individual Therapy

Think of your provider as a mirror, giving feedback and tools that help you see yourself from different angles. Together, we can reflect upon what keeps you stuck in your past, then explore ways to make changes in the present, and begin moving forward toward attaining the solace and life satisfaction that you seek.

Couple’s Therapy

As a relationship moderator, your provider observes unhelpful communication patterns, identifies areas of compatibility and incompatibility, and gives recommendations for increasing understanding, respect, and cooperation. Depending upon if you are just starting a relationship, have been together for many years, or you are considering ending your relationship, we can help you navigate the respective challenges.

What you can expect:
We recommend regular, weekly sessions as you begin to explore your current concerns and gain momentum in the change process. This work will require commitment, courage, and vulnerability. In exchange, your provider will be patient, offer guidance, and gently challenge any unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. She will help you process past events and assist you with new ways to interpret unhelpful dynamics to promote personal growth. We will provide you with strategies, techniques, and exercises that will help you find the solace you seek.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Solace Psychological Services taking new clients?
Yes! We are taking new clients (a.k.a. patients) in the state of California that have needs in our areas of specialty and can meet during available appointment times. We cannot meet with clients in crisis because we do not have after-hours availability.

How will I know if I feel comfortable with my provider?
We recommend that you have a free, 20-minute phone consultation to get to know each other. This is a great time to see if you feel comfortable. Use this time to ask any questions you may have about starting therapy.

What are your rates?
Dr. Stephanie Salo’s rates are:
$200 for individuals, 55-minute sessions
$250 for couple therapy, 55-minute sessions
Corporate rates vary based upon the nature of the request.

Kelli Raymond’s rates are:
$150 for individuals, 55-minute sessions

Credit card is the preferred method of payment using a HIPAA compliant vendor.

Does Solace Psychological Services offer a sliding scale fee?
A sliding scale fee arrangement can be negotiated with demonstrated need with the understanding that the rates will gradually increase by 10% annually to reach the full fee.

Does Solace Psychological Services take my health insurance?
No, we are not currently in-network for any insurance companies. For insurances that offer "out-of-network" benefits, we can provide a superbill (similar to a receipt) for you to submit to your insurance; depending upon your insurance, they may cover a percentage of the session fee. Please note that we cannot guarantee that your insurance will be able to reimburse you.

Where will we meet?
At this time, we mainly meet virtually using HIPAA-compliant telehealth technology. Please be aware that where the client is located for each session is considered the "location" of services. Because Dr. Stephanie Salo is licensed in the state of California, she and her associate can only meet with you for teletherapy when you are (anywhere) in the state. If you are traveling or move outside of California, they will not be able to meet with you.

How do I begin?
Complete the form on the Contact page, or you can call and leave a voicemail message. Please be sure to leave your phone number clearly and check that your voicemail box is accepting messages.
